Overview
Cardiothoracic radiology consists of the application and interpretation of imaging examinations and interventional procedures related to the lungs, pleura, mediastinum, chest wall, heart, pericardium, and the thoracic vascular system in the adult. The imaging methods and procedures include, but are not necessarily limited to, routine radiography, fluoroscopy, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance (MR) imaging, ultrasound, and interventional techniques.
